Smoked Salmon & Avocado Wrap with Cream Cheese

When I’m working from home and only have a short break between meetings, this smoked salmon and avocado wrap is the kind of lunch I reach for. It takes minutes to put together but never feels boring. Creamy avocado mashed with lemon and herbs, a swipe of cream cheese, and silky smoked salmon all wrapped up in a soft tortilla. It’s fresh, filling, and exactly the kind of simple food that makes the workday feel lighter.

Ingredients

  • 100 g smoked salmon, torn into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 ripe avocado

  • Juice of ½ lemon (plus more to taste)

  • 1-2 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 small handful fresh parsley and/or dill, finely chopped

  • 2–3 tablespoons plain cream cheese

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 large or 3 medium tortillas or lavash wraps

Instructions

In a bowl, mash the avocado with lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until creamy but slightly chunky.

Stir in the chopped parsley.

Warm the wraps briefly in a pan or directly over the flame for a few seconds until soft and pliable.

Spread a generous swipe of cream cheese on each wrap.

Spoon the avocado mixture over the cream cheese layer.

Top with smoked salmon pieces.

Roll the wraps tightly or fold like a burrito. Slice in half and serve immediately—or wrap in parchment to take with you.
